On a visit to Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium, the Princess of Wales rewore a cornflower-blue Edeline Lee trouser suit — high-waisted flare, slim jacket, chunky chain necklace — that she had already chosen in Reggio Emilia earlier this year.

It sits in a run of blue tailoring that has defined her 2026 public wardrobe: a periwinkle Gabriela Hearst suit at Wimbledon and a slim Alexander McQueen blue suit for institutional visits in London.

Fashion editors have noted the colour’s royal memory. Princess Diana favoured a similar blue when she took Prince William to Eton in 1995. Catherine has not copied the cut, but she has claimed the shade as a working uniform: reliable, photographic and formal without evening-dress weight.
