A long holdout moves online

Primark will start offering home delivery in the United Kingdom, parent Associated British Foods said on September 10, 2026. The chain has bought a warehouse in Sheffield to ship orders. It did not name a launch date.

Primark already runs Click and Collect. For years it said parcel delivery did not pay at its price points. ABF now says digital sales can add profitable growth.

Sales pressure before a spin-off

ABF expects Primark like-for-like sales to fall about 3 percent in the quarter to September 12 and 2.6 percent for the full year. UK sales are seen up about 1 percent, or 0.6 percent in some briefings. Continental Europe is weaker.

ABF plans to separate Primark next year. Shares in the FTSE 100 group fell as much as 11 percent in London after the update.
